SAFARI OVERVIEW
Day 1: Departure to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel after breakfast. We’ll embark on a scenic 7-hour journey to the southern part of Uganda, where the remarkable Bwindi National Park awaits. Along the way, we’ll make various stops to soak in the breathtaking scenery and savor a delicious lunch.
Upon reaching Bwindi, you can refresh, take a shower, and spend the evening in the company of friends at the hotel, making for a delightful start to your expedition.
Day 2: Gorilla Trek and Batwa Pygmies Cultural Visit
Bwindi forest offers a variety of gorilla groups to choose from during your safari. The Rangers will consider your overall fitness when assigning you to a group. Gorilla tracking is physically demanding, but the experience becomes truly awe-inspiring when you encounter these primates. Watching a family of mountain gorillas is an incredible experience, and you might find yourself captivated by the playful antics of the young ones.
Mountain Gorillas are known for their playful and inquisitive nature, so be prepared for close encounters during your visit. It’s essential to listen carefully to your guide’s instructions and maintain a calm demeanor when around mountain gorillas.
After your one-hour encounter with the gorilla family, our official guide will lead you back to the starting point, from where you’ll be transferred to your hotel for lunch
In the evening, we’ll head out to visit the Batwa pygmy cultural community. The Batwa originally inhabited the forest but had frequent conflicts with the gorillas. Consequently, the government made the decision to relocate them to enable smoother gorilla conservation activities.
Day 3: Transfer to Entebbe
Today, you’ll journey back to Kampala, making a stop for lunch at the Equator. Capture memorable pictures in both the northern and southern hemispheres as a wonderful conclusion to your Uganda holiday.
